Gosh, what a tricky situation. And who isn't to say that you haven't both been ruled by logic in where to place flap, and velcro, etc, so that in the end the design is so similar.

I love your blog. Thank you for sharing.

[...] Kimberly’s patterns for travelling knitting needle cases are also great for a beginner. They are intended for holding round needles and double pointed needles, and that’s what mine do, but I can think of a lot of other things a young girl could use them for. Click here for pictures of her cases. If you’re looking for a good starter sewing pattern complete with pictures, I recommend it.
I thought you handled this very well and were, in fact, very even-handed and diplomatic in your explanation of the situation. I look forward to seeing more of your designs in the future.

I want to comment on the grace with which you have handled this situation. Your explanation of the reason for removing the previous post was matter-of-fact and not defensive. You did not attack Dave, but admitted the similarity and proceded to revert to one of your previous designs.

I, personally, think Dave's comments here were a bit defensive, he may have gotten some grief from your 'supporters', I couldn't say.
