Gosh, it sure is Christmas time again and I can’t believe how little I’ve managed to get accomplished so far in this December darkness. Knitting has come to an almost standstill but I did manage to get the last threads sewn in and buttons for my Mr. Bluejeans sweater. It has taken me 2 weeks to get a decent picture of her! I didn’t dare wear her before the picture was produced, much to the disapointment of the kids in my knitting club who really wanted to see her on me before the Christmas break. I guess that’s a bit strange but one thing I won’t do is wear anything I’ve made until it’s been properly photographed. Now that I’m on break the kids won’t see her until January but you will. I’m so very happy with her too!
Yarn: Lion Brand Cotton-Ease, 5 skeins

Started: July 2008
Completed: November 29 2008
One of the many things that has kept me away from my needles is sport with the kids. Alexander started Jiu-jitsu last November and within a year and a month has managed to get up to his yellow/orange belt. The test was yesterday and we were so proud of him and his new belt.
It was fun watching him go at it.
This week Alida and I have vacation one week before the boys have off so I’m trying desperately to get things done. I’m quite determined to get some more knitting in, we’ll see how it goes. It’s nice to take a break from our hectic daily schedule and although we’ve been to the doctor and shopping all day, I’m already enjoying my break. See, I’ve even written a blog post!!
