Circular knitting needle case-done

I’ve finished my circular knitting needle case and I really like how this one turned out. Click on a picture to make it bigger. I made the pattern up myself and I think it should do the trick. I’m almost done writing up the pattern for the lavender pillows, and when it’s finished I’ll post it on a special free pattern page. I’ve been working on that as much as I can, although I’m not too pleased with how the pictures came out, but I may just finish it with those anyway. If I ever find the time I’ll post a rough pattern for this needle case, too. I know if you can sew you could probably figure it out, but if you’re like me you like things neatly written down and the measurements done for you. I’ll get to it! Anyway, now my needles are all nicely organized.
Speaking of needles, thank you all for the comments about with which needles you prefer to knit.
I’ve come to the conclusion, so far, that everyone has their own favorite and everyone’s favorites are different. Anmiryam said it best:”It’s really about different needles for different needs.” Maybe we’ll learn more if we wait and see what others have to say. If you’ld like to contribute go to To be Addi, or not to be Addi: that is the question:
Now on to some sock knitting: Everyone’s doing it, so, you’ve guessed it, I’ve got to jump on the truck and am doing it, too. I know, I’m easily persuaded. I succumb to peer pressure. I’m weak. I’m vulnerable. Well, when it comes to knitting I am. There is just too much to knit and way too little time to do it. I’ve started my playground sock and I love this color yarn. I haven’t knit a sock in 3 years, so in order to get me back into the swing of things I thought I’d just start a pair for myself in a simple pattern with self-striping yarn. The first pair of socks I ever knit for myself, I knit when I was studying in Mexico about 13 or 14 years ago. Am I that old? Whoa, probably shouldn’t have given that kind of information away. I’m really 15 years younger than I look, it’s the camera that adds years, oh and pounds. Well, since then I’ve knit some for Martin and Alexander, so now it’s my turn. I can’t wait to see how the stripes turn out. ![]()

Yes, you’re right, that’s my flared smoke ring showing her face. Those new Addis went to continuing this little pink baby, and I’ve actually knit a few rows since taking her out of hibernation. I put this down so long ago because I wanted to get some summer things knit, and now I thought I would come back and continue on.
Unfortunately, I haven’t gotten very far thanks to my birthday party/girls night at my house. We had a great time talking without kids interrupting us every few minutes seconds. The food was yummy and as always I made my famous carrot cake. I can’t believe people can still eat this, I make it every time but they keep telling me to make it, so when they say bake it, I bake it. The kids and I worked on it it yesterday, and according to Alexander this is what I was supposed to write on top of the cake. The pen was horrible to write with and hurt our hands, but this is what we managed. We missed crossing our T but you get the idea. ![]()
For the kids I always have a theme birthday party, and yesterday as we were getting ready for everyone to come, Alexander kept telling me I had to find a good theme for my party. He didn’t like the idea that I was themeless. Alida’s birthday is at the end of the month, and I’m starting to work on it. You’ll see what theme we’ve chosen for that.
Look what those horrible mosquitos did to Alida. She was out with her great grandmother riding her bike while I was trying to recover from a migrain yesterday, when this pesky mosquito had a feast on her little hand. Aren’t they mean?? Bad mosquito. Bad. Bad. ![]()

Beautiful job on the needle case. I posted one I made yesterday too! Next I’ll be making one for my Mum who has some circulars, so I’ll use yours for inspiration!

P.S. Hope Alida’s hand doesn’t cause her too much grief, it does look sore, poor little thing. Christopher got bit last night by one.

I love your circular needle case! I need one, mine are all still in the plastic bag they come in. I can’t sew… well I have made a few attempts at it, but that was more than a few years ago. If you post a pattern i’ll have to give it one more try:) yummm carrot cake! hope you had a good b-day. Poor Alida, bad bad misquito! hopefully she’ll have a speedy recovery!

Hi: what a beautiful case! I am looking, with no luck, for a circular needle case that has separate compartments for around 16 circular needles. How many does yours hold? Would you have a pattern for yours? I would love to try to make one myself, since having no luck on internet. thanks!
