I have so much to write about, but this week is gobbling me up, so it may have to wait until the weekend before I can get a descent post written.
Until then, I would like to tell you about something that I found to be very heart wrenching. My very wonderful blog ‘buddy’ Cathy has a friend, Jenn, who has had a life of loss:
“I’d like to take a moment to tell you a little about what this young woman has gone through. Jenn is a kind, sweet, caring person who lost her parents in a car accident as a teenager, a brother in a motorcycle accident, has conquered throat cancer and last month lost her husband of less than a year, 7 year old son (her adopted nephew) and 4 month old baby in a tragic car accident. This past weekend, she lost the baby she was carrying. She is a very private person who would go out of her way to help anyone in any way. The pain she is feeling is totally unfathomable to me and tears me up inside. The holidays are coming and making it through these next few months will be harder for her than I can even begin to imagine.”
I’ve taken that directly from her blog post. She’s making a blanket for her friend and needs everyone to knit an 8″ square to help out. Please go over and see what you can do to help. I’m off to see what yarn I have, there’s always time to knit an 8 inch square.

It’s difficult to fathom that much loss. What color are you going to knit?

I can’t imagine how painful this must be for her. What a horrible loss. I’ll check out her site today.

Thank you so VERY much Kimberly, and all the volunteers. Knitters are truly the kindest people in the world.

I am glad I stopped by. I will definitely be happy to add a square to this worthy project. We are swamped with moving right now but I know I can make time for this. Thanks for spreading the word….

What a tragic story. I can’t even begin to image how one person could bear so much loss.

It doesn’t seem right that one person must endure as much trauma as Jenn has. I’ll be knitting a square for her. That’s the least I can do.
