Here are my free patterns for you to try. Have fun and let me know how they turn out.
I also have nothing against a word of thanks.
Here are my potpouri pillows that keep moths away from your knitted goodies. Just sew up the envelopes with the lace window and fill them with fresh lavender. For the pattern just click here (PDF file).
On December 25, 2005 October 17, 2007 I updated the pattern correcting a few mistakes. You can find the updated version here(PDF file).

Hi,
I am looking for a pattern to sew burping cloths for my daughter-in-law.
I understand they are very easy to sew as I can’t sew very well at all !!
Thanks

I know just the person for those wristies (or whatever you call them). What a pity I didn’t find them in time for Christmas. Never mind, there’s always her birthday. Thanks for offering the pattern free. ~Sharon

Hi!
I really love your gloves. They are beautiful. However, I can’t seem to follow the pattern. I have a couple of questions: 1) Is the ribbing and cable design done simultaneously? If so, how many stitches must I complete before I begin the cable design?
If not, should I do five rows of ribbing and then start the cable design or should I complete 20 rows (refering to directions for both gloves in your pattern)?
One more question….which end of the glove is my knitting start-point? the fingertip end or the arm?
Sorry for all the questions, but I really do want to make these gloves. The design is one of the best I’ve seen. Thank you also for sharing your pattern with us.

I LOVE these gloves and can’t wait to get them done but, I too have some questions :
1) When casting onto 3 needles, you are knitting in a round I assume…so how is there a WS and RS? When knitting in a round aren’t you always knitting on the same side?
2)In your written out explanations of the cable you are working over 12 sts in rows 1, 5, & 9. (p2, sl 2 sts…then knit 2 from cable needle, k4 (do you mean 2?) p2 =12 sts
but in the chart each row is 10 sts.
I assume here that the chart is correct and the k4 was a missprint, but I want to make sure before i get too far and mess something up.
Thanks!

I just finished the first glove. Thanks for the free pattern. It worked out great! I used Patons Kroy sock yarn with the same stitch count with size 4 US (3.5mm) needles, it looks like the fit is just a little bit snugger than your photo. My daughter wants a pair now.
Thanks again!

I found your patten for the fingerless gloves.
With most research, your pattern is the most tastful and modern pattern out there. I made a pair for myself. I love them. THANK You
August 24th, 2006 at 1:06 am
In the instructions, you write that the cable pattern repeat is 8 rows, yet the chart shows Rows 1-10. Rows 9 and 10 on the chart are actually Rows 1 and 2 of the pattern, and should be either not shown or be numbered correctly.
I had to start over three times before I figured that out .

Where do I find the free instructions for the fingerless cable gloves? I clicked on the picture and all I got was the same picture, only larger. Help! Thank you. Carol

Hi. I love your fingerless cable mittens!! I have, however found the pattern a bit tricky in the wording. I am not sure, if it is incorrect in a few spots, or if I am incorrect in a few spots!
I will elaborate, if you wish, just email me, and I will respond with my issues. LOVE THEM, LOVE THEM!
January 28th, 2007 at 1:17 pm
All I can say is “WOW!”
And a big THANK YOU.
February 5th, 2007 at 7:53 pm
Mine photos aren’t great but the gloves came out beautifully. Especially since this was my first attempt at cables. Love the pattern. Am going to make a second pair as well as matching socks. Thank you so much for sharing

I made 9 pairs of wristers for Christmas and wanted a pattern like this, but I was too insecure to try to create one and time would not allow me to experiment. I am anxious to try yours- I too wanted mitts with cable decor and a thumb gusset for better fit. These are so good for smokers (yuk!), fishermen, moms with buckles to fasten and just the rest of us that fumble with keys, etc. (or work in cold buildings). Thanks for sharing.

October 8th, 2007 at 11:51 pm
cabled fingerless gloves…i used only first 8 rows of cable pattern and then repeated it…
what are rows 9 and 10.? is that a mistake?
…used #7 needles and wool and alpaca yarn (frog tree)…
# 1 needle 12 sts
# 2 needle 12sts
# 3 needle (cable needle) 16 sts
k 3..marker,p2, cable patern,p2,marker,k3
this fits a woman’s hand easily.

December 19th, 2008 at 9:13 pm
Hi, I love the cabled fingerless gloves…I am making my first pair to keep my hands warm at hockey while I knit but my daughter has already staked a claim. I think there is a mistake in your written description of the pattern vs the chart on rows one and five.
The C4F comes right after the purls on the written example but the chart shows it as after two knits for Row 1. The C4B comes after two knits on the written instructions but on the graph it comes after the two purls on row 5. I am following the written instructions not the graph.
I have to read both to ensure my understanding so I think that maybe why I found the descrepincy or I am just not reading it right.
Thanks for sharing your pattern, I forsee a few pair of these fingerless gloves in my future!!

Hi! Thanks for the fingerless gloves pattern. It’s beautiful!
I noticed that when I knit up the left glove (the second one) the cabling was closer to the thumb gusset than on the right glove. Would it work out better for me if I was to start the thumb gusset 12 sts before the cabling pattern?
